An Open Door

Wallace is open to every member of our community, including the LBGTQ+ community. We understand and acknowledge the specific experiences and needs of our LGBTQ+ patients and reflect that in our care. See below for more information about LGBTQ+-specific care at Wallace.

Affirming, Inclusive Care:

- LGBTQ+ friendly providers
- Patient care coordinators that are experienced in addressing the needs of the LGBTQ+ community
- Gender affirming care
- Wallace will not perform medically unnecessary procedures on intersex children until the patient is old enough to make an informed decision

Services Offered:

- Hormonal therapy and monitoring
- Trans-affirming gynecological care, including cervical cancer screening and pelvic exams
- Non-judgemental sexual health screening and STI treatment
- PrEP / PEP
- Linkage to care for HIV+ patients
- Referrals to gender-affirming surgery
- Referrals to specialists in providing pre-pubescent gender-affirming care
